 AT&T REACTION TO CWA STATEMENT ON LABOR TALKS
 WASHINGTON, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) tonight issued the


following statement responding to a Communications Workers of America statement on progress of negotiations here between the company, the CWA and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers:
 "AT&T has had continuing discussions with the CWA and IBEW since the weekend. Indeed, informal discussions which the company believes were very meaningful occurred today and tonight. Because we think progress is being made, talks will be resumed at 9 a.m. Wednesday. While it's true difficult issues remain, AT&T is committed to work toward resolving them when the talks resume."
