 AT&T OFFERS SPECIAL PRICE TO AUSTRALIA
 MORRISTOWN, N.J., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T will help honor the


first settlers of Australia by offering a special price to customers placing direct dial calls to Australia from selected area codes.
 The special Australia Day prices, which are being offered for the third year in a row, will be effective all day Saturday, Jan. 25, and Sunday, Jan. 26. Customers calling during this period will receive the economy rate, for the entire 48 hours.
 "We are pleased to offer this special price to our customers. We want to make sure customers have an opportunity to talk with friends and relatives, and share in the celebrations honoring Australia's first settlers," said Chris Gibney, AT&T International Long Distance product manager.
 Regular AT&T international long distance rates to Australia are:

 Economy (3 a.m.-2 p.m.) $1.74 $0.81
 Discount (8 p.m.-3 a.m.) $2.50 $0.96
 Standard (2 p.m.-8 p.m.) $3.10 $1.25
 During the promotion, a ten minute call will cost $9.03.
 Customers who frequently call Australia can achieve even greater savings every month using AT&T Reach Out(R) World. Subscribers to the Reach Out World plan receive the low rate of $0.78 per minute from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. A ten minute call at Reach Out World rates is $7.80.
 After the first 10 minutes, the per minute rate drops even lower, to $0.75 per minute. Subscribers receive an additional 5 percent discount on inter-state directed dialed calls. The plan is available to over 50 countries and costs a low monthly fee of $3.00.
 The reduced rates for the Australia Day promotion apply all Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25 and 26 and are available from the following area codes:
