 AT&T HONORS AIRBORNE EXPRESS AS ITS TOP AIR EXPRESS PERFORMER
 GREENSBORO, N.C., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) Purchasing and Transportation has honored Airborne Express (NYSE: ABF) with its 1991 Top Performer Award in the air express carrier category, Airborne said today. The award was presented to the air carrier with the highest overall quality performance for express shipments of AT&T raw materials and finished products weighing less than 100 pounds.
 "The award demonstrates the success of Airborne and AT&T working together to continuously improve quality and service," said Kent Freudenberger, Airborne's executive vice president, marketing division. "Quick response and turnaround time, accuracy in billing and elimination of loss and damage keep our costs down and keep our customers satisfied."
 The criteria for the Top Performer Award included on-time delivery, freight bill accuracy and low claims. Airborne was chosen from 10 air express carriers that provide service to AT&T.
