AT&T EXPANDS SERVICE IN FIVE ADDITIONAL COUNTRIES IN THE AMERICAS
 ACAPULCO, Mexico, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) today announced it is expanding its markets for telecommunications products for use in the home to include five additional countries in the Americas.
 Here at the Americas Telecom '92 exhibition, the consumer products division of AT&T said agreements have been signed with distributors to bring its telephones, answering systems and accessories to the consumer markets in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru.
 Electronica Comercial S.A. of Panama has been selected as the authorized distributor of AT&T consumer products in the Republic of Panama.
 In the other countries, Electena, the distributor of AT&T consumer products in Ecuador, will begin supplying retail and electronics specialty stores with a full line of AT&T products.
 Since 1988, Electena has sold AT&T phones and answering systems at its owned and operated stores and through other consumer electronics stores in Ecuador.
 AT&T's consumer products also are available in other countries of the Americas including Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and Jamaica. AT&T is the U.S. market leader in personal communications products for use in the home. To facilitate its commitment to global expansion, AT&T Consumer Products recently formed a strategic business unit headquartered in the greater Miami area, to market telephones, answering systems and accessories within the Americas region.
