AT&T DISCOUNTS CALLS TO CANADA

DETROIT, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) has announced a special program that will allow business customers in Michigan to save even more on their calls to Canada on their November 1993 bills. Savings of up to 59 percent are possible when the special discounts are included with CustomNet(SM) and PRO(R) WATS discounts. Michigan businesses place more calls to Canada than any other country.
Business customers who are AT&T CustomNet users already receive 11- to 18-percent discounts off basic long-distance rates. Under the promotion plan, for businesses that sign up for a new Privilege Option Flex Plan with the Favorite Nation Option, AT&T will increase the FNO discount to a full 35 percent for calls to Canada appearing on their November bill if Canada is the first or second highest-billed country.
Savings on the November bill could total up to 59 percent over regular international long-distance rates. After that, savings on calls to the one or two highest-billed countries each month could total up to 29 percent.
CustomNet Service offers small-business customers the opportunity to receive a single bill and discounted domestic and international calling from phones at up to 125 company locations and 10 residences. AT&T Corporate Card calls, along with data, fax and AT&T Alliance(R) Teleconference calls are all included in the plan. The CustomNet discount applies to the total usage on a single monthly bill.
Privilege Option Flex Plans allow customers to obtain discounts of 2.5 to 8.5 percent based on monthly calling volumes, for an 18- or 36-month period.
For more information, business customers should call 1-800-222-0900 or their AT&T account representative.
