AT&T ANNOUNCES DISCOUNT PLAN FOR AT&T
CALLING CARD HOLDERS WITHOUT HOME PHONES
BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T today announced the first discount plan for AT&T Calling Card holders who don't have home phones -- mainly college students and U.S. military personnel.
The AT&T Military Saver Plus(sm) Plan and the AT&T Call & Save Plan provide an easy way for members of the armed forces and college students respectively to save between 5 percent and 20 percent on all interstate and international calls made using an AT&T Calling Card. The discounts can add up to significant savings on AT&T calls and allow more time to talk with loved ones and friends.
"This is just one more way AT&T offers value to our military and college customers," said Tom White, AT&T product manager. "We want to do more than just save you money on AT&T calls -- we want to make phoning home easier than ever. Combine the flexibility of the AT&T Calling Card with the discounts offered via these two new plans allows us to do both."
Each plan costs $2 a month, and they offer the same easy discount structure. Daytime calls are subject to a five percent discount, evening calls -- 10 percent, and night and weekend calls -- 20 percent. International inbound calls (made using AT&T's USADirect(R) Service) and international outbound calls qualify for a 5 percent discount.
