AT&T ADDS NEW LONG-DISTANCE OPTIONS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
 NEW YORK, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) today added four

new long-distance options for small business customers to what is already the widest array of calling service choices and discounts available.
Called AT&T Partners in Business(SM) Program, the new services bring to 30 the AT&T long-distance offerings that can be tailored for small businesses.
"We are showing small businesses, those who are currently our customers and those who are about to be, that AT&T is determined to provide the best value in the marketplace," said Joseph P. Nacchio, president of AT&T's Business Communications Services Unit.
"We believe each business customer wants a communications solution designed for their individual needs," Nacchio said. "We don't believe one size fits all. That's why we continue to provide value through a choice of feature-rich calling services tailored to customers' individual needs, with high-quality service and competitive prices."
The new long-distance options, available for customers spending as little as $25 monthly, are:
-- Partners in Business(SM) Area Code Option, which gives customers who sign an 18-month contract a 20 percent discount each month on all long-distance calls to the domestic area code they dial most frequently. Customers also receive international calling discounts with International Business Alternative, introduced in February. Short duration calls under this plan are discounted up to 30 percent off regular rates, depending upon the country called. The option is available now and effective May 1, 1992.
-- Partners in Business(SM) PRO(R) WATS Partners Option combines existing PRO WATS discounts with an additional discount of 20 percent on all calls to a list of telephone numbers selected by the customer. That list can contain as few as one or as many as 20 domestic telephone numbers and one international country. For international calling, PRO(R) WATS Option customers receive a 10 percent discount off standard period rates on all calls to the country of their choice, including Canada or Mexico. The option is available now and effective May 1, 1992.
-- Partners in Business(SM) PRO WATS Term Option, which gives PRO(R) WATS customers an additional 5 percent discount in exchange for signing an 18-month contract, available now and effective April 23. PRO Term Option customers receive discounts on all direct-dialed interstate and international calls across all rate periods.
-- Partners in Business(SM) CustomNet Option, designed for multi- location customers, offers a 10 percent discount on all calls to the area code the customer dials most frequently, as well as volume discounts of 10 percent on usage above $200 monthly and a 12 percent discount on all usage of more than $2,000 monthly, available now and effective April 20. During a special three-month promotion now under way, CustomNet customers receive a 20 percent discount on calls to the area code they call most frequently, along with a 5 percent discount on all international calls made during the promotional period.
"These are difficult economic times, and there is no better way for AT&T to help than to provide additional value to small businesses," Nacchio said. "In addition, many small businesses are expanding globally to fight for every dollar of business they can get. That's why enabling customers to earn discounts on international calls is a key feature of AT&T's optional calling plans."
The Partners in Business Program is the first of many planned new small business services expected to be introduced as part of the "One Size Does Not Fit All" advertising campaign begun March 19.
