AT&T'S REACTION TO THE FAA'S AWARD OF LINCS CONTRACT

AT&T'S REACTION TO THE FAA'S AWARD OF LINCS CONTRACT
 WASHINGTON, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is AT&T's

reaction to the FAA's award of its LINCS contract, as per Richard J. Lombardi, AT&T vice president, Business Communications Services-Federal Systems:
"Based on the limited information we have at this time about the FAA LINCS procurement, we are naturally disappointed at the outcome.
"While we would like to have won, no company can win every government contract. That is the very nature of the competitive process. We won FTS2000 and MCI lost. Now MCI appears to have won LINCS.
"Every government contract is unique, and this is certainly true of LINCS. We would expect to examine the LINCS results more carefully based on communication with the FAA and as more information becomes available."
