Albert W. Ondis, CEO, stated, "The final results for the second quarter are exactly in line with the estimated results we announced on Aug. 12, 1993. In this announcement we noted that sales and earnings for the second quarter reflected worldwide economic uncertainties, but that expected customer acceptance of our newly introduced products would lead to improved results in the second half. We continue to feel the second half will be strong, followed by an exceptional new year as some major new products go into production. The company's financial condition is very strong with virtually no debt, with cash and marketable securities equal to $2.90 per share and a current ratio of better than 8 to 1."
The board of directors have declared the regular quarterly cash dividend of 3 cents per share to be paid on Oct. 1, 1993, to shareholders of record on Sept. 13, 1993.
