The U.S. Grains Council, Washington, D.C., names Erick R. Erickson vice president. Erickson has worked for the Council for 15 years, most recently as the executive director responsible for membership, communications, finance, personnel and administration ... USGC elects Lisle Cook chairman, Dale Spurgin vice chairman, Don Jacoby treasurer and Terry Wolf secretary. Cook currently serves as an Iowa Corn Promotion Board director. Spurgin is the current chairman of the Texas Grain Sorghum Producers Board and has been a member of the USGC board since 1988. Jacoby is vice president, customer relations for DirectAg.com. Wolf is a former chairman of the Illinois corn marketing board. He also chairs the Illinois Council on Food and Agricultural Research.
John Kellogg of Yorkville, Ill., is re-elected president of the 15-member National Pork Board. Hugh Dorminy, a producer from Russellville, Ark., is elected vice president. Kellogg is a commercial producer with 1,200 sows. Dorminy is general manager of Cargill Pork.
The California Milk Producers Advisory Board, Moesto, Calif., has announced that Stan G. Andre will succeed Adri G. Boudewyn as CEO effective Jan. 1, 2001, upon Boudewyn's retirement. Andre most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and sales for Nulaid Foods, Inc.
Tyler Wegmeyer joins the North American Equipment Dealers Association, Fenton, Mo., as manager of government affairs. He will work out of the association's legislative office in Washington, D.C. Wegmeyer most recently worked as a legislative assistant for U.S. Rep Nick Smith (R-Mich.).
