ASM INTERNATIONAL STARTS BIMONTHLY FOR METALS, MATERIALS PROCESSING ENGINEERS.
The target audience includes managers and supervisors at large internal, heat heat treating operations, engineers and related professionals in the aerospace, automotive, heavy machinery and durable goods industries, manufacturers, distributors and consultants. A spin-off of ASMI's Advanced Materials & Processes, the new title is taglined "the business and technology of heat treating" and is designed to assist heat treaters "interested in staying competitive in a tough global economy," ASMI said.
ASMI said that editorial will cover such topics as: environmental issues, including ISO 14001, emissions, disposal, and co-generation; business and management issues, including legal issues, labor analysis, new legislation and regulations and capital outlays; new technologies, including cell processing and manufacturing execution systems; and, new heat treating processes and equipment.
