Skills and Techniques Necessary for Leading ASIS Chapters

Chapter leaders determine a chapter's success or failure, yet how often do we take the time to prepare potential leaders for what lies ahead? This comprehensive training session focuses on cooperation amongst the chapter officers in handling the various responsibilities and planning for the chapter's successful future. You'll hear from award-winning chapter leaders and review successful strategies and tactics employed by them, including how to select and train tomorrow's leaders. Focus is also placed on the development of mentoring procedures, and chapter modifications that would allow any member the opportunity to become better prepared to become a chapter volunteer leader.

Pick up a copy of the Lonestar Ledger for up-to-the-minute news from the ASIS 50th Annual Seminar & Exhibits. The Ledger highlights special events, covers session and exhibit hall happenings, offers last minute updates, and provides information on local entertainment and dining options.


The ASIS International 50th Annual Seminar & Exhibits marks the launch of ASIS' Golden Jubilee--50 years of excellence in helping to advance the security management profession. Many exciting activities and offerings are being planned and if you're in Dallas, you'll be among the first to participate.

* 50th Anniversary Book -- A limited edition, richly illustrated coffee table book covering the 50 years since ASIS was founded in 1955--from the Cold War to heightened alert. It also chronicles the advancements of the past half-century in the security industry that have contributed to strengthening both ASIS and the security profession. Attendees who pay full (four-day) Seminar registration will receive a complimentary copy. Copies also will be available for purchase in Dallas and through the ASIS Bookstore, while quantities last.

* Set of ASIS Pins -- Replicas of the original ASIS pin and the one bearing the former ASIS logo with the eagle will be available in September 2004. A brand new pin bearing the current ASIS logo will be introduced in September 2005. All three pins will be offered as a limited edition, commemorative set at that time.

* Special celebrations at the ASIS Annual Seminar.

* Photos, photos ... and more photos of the past 50 years will be displayed throughout the convention center in Dallas.
