ASIAN PUBLISHER BUYS ATEX CIRCULATION.
New Straits Times Press (NSTP), with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has four nationally distributed titles including the 136,600-circulation New Straits Times, the 222,200-circulation Berita Harian, the 34,200-circulation Malay Mail and the 76,900-circulation Harian Metro.
Once the system is fully implemented, Atex's Circulation Command system will enable NSTP to track all circulation activity and improve customer service. The system incorporates features to support subscriber as well as vendor management and will provide the company with the advantages of enhanced stock and product management, improved process automation and help to reduce costs with tighter vehicle and distribution control. Support for a range of circulation management accounts receivable functions is also supported.
NSTP currently uses an Atex Media Command Enterprise advertising system to manage its complete classified and display advertising operation.
The circulation software is the one bright sales spot in the Bedford, Mass.-based Atex's product portfolio, which grew like Topsy when Atex and Media Command merged last year.
