ASC TO BUILD SUNROOF FACILITY IN COLUMBUS, OHIO
SOUTHGATE, Mich., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- ASC Incorporated has

chosen a site in Columbus, Ohio, to manufacture its American Sunroof Company sunroof products.
ASC will construct a 112,000-square-foot facility to assemble and develop its sunroof products for the upcoming '94 Honda Accord, in addition to the Chrysler L-H cars, the Eagle Vision, the Dodge Intrepid and the Chrysler Concord, as well as its direct-market sunroof products.
"The close proximity to the East Libertyville and Marysville access was our first concern," said Alan Luke, ASC's vice president of systems supply. "We needed a site where we could serve our customer facilities in addition to having access to a quality work force. Cooperative local government made Columbus an excellent choice," added Luke.
ASC currently operates three facilities in Ohio. The Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunbird convertibles are produced in North Jackson and ASC Colamco operates two trim facilities in Columbus which supply the world's transportation manufacturers.
"The facility will contain state-of-the-art technology which will control costs and concentrate on a quality end product for our manufacturing partners," said Luke.
ASC is a specialty vehicle systems manufacturer for the world's transportation companies.
