LCC to host

ceramics workshop

The Ceramic Art Student Association at Lane Community College will host a workshop Monday and Tuesday.

``The Ceramic Surface: 4 Approaches,'' will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19 at LCC, 4000 E. 30th Ave.

The event features lectures and demonstrations with visiting potters Katrina Chaytor, John Glick, Matthew Metz and Susanne Stephenson.

The keynote speaker will be Robert Poor, a University of Minnesota art historian.

The fee to attend both days is $100 ($50 for students) or $55 for a single day. Register at www.lanecc.edu/artad /ceramics/. Call 463-5417 for information.

As part of the event, four free exhibitions are planned.

Opus6ix, 22 W. Seventh Ave., will feature the work of the four visiting artists.

Eugene's Local Clay will have a group show at DIVA, 110 W. Broadway.

White Lotus Gallery, 767 Willamette St., will host an invitational teapot show.

LCC's art gallery will host ``Clay Lane: LCC Ceramics Past and Present.''

Marilyn Kent showing

at Infinity Mercantile

"Lovebirds and Others," a show of images by Eugene artist Marilyn Kent, runs through March 20 at Infinity Mercantile, 782 Blair Blvd.

The store is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Artists' collective opens

at Fifth Street Market

The new Eugene Artisans Gallery, at Fifth Street Pubic Market, will host a grand opening celebration from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday during First Friday Art Walk.

Imagine is a collective devoted to the representation of local artists and artisans.

WOW Hall showing

The WOW Hall is showing an exhibit of 35 mm experimental photography by Carly Boyer. The WOW Hall lobby art gallery, 291 W. Eighth Ave., is open 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
