LCC exhibit honors
artist David Joyce
The Center for Meeting and Learning at Lane Community College will commemorate artist David Joyce as it opens its art gallery exhibition Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
"Studio Mates: Remembering David Joyce Through the Work of John Bauguess, Bob Devine and Rob Finne" will feature art created when the four shared studio space.
New Zealand natives' weavings on exhibit
An exhibition of traditional and contemporary Maori weaving opens Saturday at the Hallie Ford Museum at Willamette University in Salem.
Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. "Toi Maori: The Eternal Thread" features more than 100 woven items. The museum, 700 State St., is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $3.
Get antiques appraised, help a fundraising cause
Applegate Heritage Arts and Education will hold a local version of the ``Antiques Roadshow'' next Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Old Applegate House in Yoncalla, 512 Old Applegate Road.
Bring a $10 donation and two objects for appraisal and care advice from Candy Moffett of the Alder Gallery, appraiser Jim Dahlstrom, consultant Tom Fuller and conservator Sandra Troon.
