BRING exhibit features re-creations
"Re-fashion," an art exhibit featuring re-creations by local designers, opens with a reception from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday and runs through Sept. 9 at BRING, 4446 Franklin Blvd.
The show includes elaborate costumes, funky fashion and practical everyday wear, with many pieces made from nontraditional scrap materials.
"If you have the mind of a visionary and the heart of an artist, anything and everything has the potential to be transformed," designer Terrisa West says.
The opening coincides with the BRING Birthday Bash, a free all-day festival celebrating BRING's 40th birthday. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
