MARKHAM, Ontario, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Artagraph Reproduction Technology Incorporated (ART) (NASDAQ: XARTF, XARPF, XARWF, XARZF) announced today the results of its recent participation in the semi- annual furniture industry trade show held in High Point, N.C.
The company announced that orders and commitments were received from a number of leading home furnishing and department store chains including:

Bon Marche (Federated Department Stores, Seattle)
 Macy's (San Francisco)
Belk's Department Stores (a North Carolina-based chain of more than
 400 stores)
 Sterns Department Store (New York)
The company believes that these commitments will add significant revenues for the balance of 1993 and in 1994.
In other developments, Artagraph has reached agreement with J.C. Penney to have its products displayed and marketed through Penney's catalog division. A definitive contract is expected in the next two or three weeks. ART is also negotiating national retail distribution with Penney's. The company said that although the exact value of these expected contracts cannot be determined, the potential is substantial.
For the first time, the company was invited to show Artagraph Editions of the work of contemporary artists at ArtExpo in New York. The editions were commissioned by:
 Gallery Artist
 Gregory Editions Sahal
 Star Fine Art Liliana Frasca
 Ambassador Fine Arts Bob Guccione
 Aaron Young O'Neill
ArtExpo is the pre-eminent trade show for artists and companies engaged in the reproduction of contemporary art works. ART reports that its products were extremely well received and the company expects to make significant inroads into the limited edition publishing industry as an alternative to serigraphs and lithographs.
ART publishes and markets replicas of oil paintings, consisting primarily of works by Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Contemporary artists. Based in Toronto, ART markets its replicas throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Asia, Australia and Europe.
