ARLINGTON SOFTWARE DESIGN FIRM LAUNCHES NATIONAL MARKETING
CAMPAIGN FOR PROGRAM THAT PREVENTS SCHEDULING CONFLICTS
OVER USE OF CONFERENCE ROOMS AND FACILITIES
ARLINGTON, Va., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Tracking Technologies Inc., a software design firm in Arlington, today announced the start of a national marketing campaign for the new version of its Conference Room Information System (CRIS), an innovative database software program that will enable thousands of corporations and organizations to avoid scheduling conflicts over the use of their conference rooms and equipment.
An earlier version of CRIS is already being used by more than a dozen organizations across the country, including Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, which depends on CRIS to help its 600 computer users schedule the estimated 7,500 meetings that are held each year in its more than 30 conference rooms.
CRIS is an event-driven program that instantly identifies the availability of an unlimited number of rooms at any company through the year 2099, ensures that facilities are set up correctly and on time, and provides instant updates and confirmation reports for any scheduling changes.
CRIS is an improvement over other scheduling programs because it is a dedicated reservation database that schedules rooms, not people; provides a graphic "bird's-eye view" of entire room schedules at a glance; can run on both networks or stand-alone personal computers; and does not require the constant input of a burdensome amount of information in order to be useful or effective.
Major enhancements in version 2.0 include expanded event information, customized reports, multiple event scheduling, increased program flexibility, and allows organizations to provide employees with unlimited or controlled access to the software to make or change their own room reservations.
CRIS' main screen provides users with a complete picture of the schedule of up to 23 rooms over any six hour period. The screen is divided into two windows. The top window features an overview of rooms, dates and times. The bottom window includes details and arrangements for each meeting, such as the name of the person requesting and making the reservation; expected attendance; required arrangements such as video equipment, flip charts, extra chairs and tables, and refreshments; and billing information.
Reservations can be made, changed or canceled by pressing a single key.
CRIS will not permit events to be scheduled if the time slot is already reserved or if the expected attendance would exceed the room's capacity. The database and scheduling reports can be customized by users to meet the particular needs of their company, including the name or number of conference rooms, seating capacities, and audio visual capabilities.
CRIS can be run on any DOS-compatible computer with at least 512K of RAM and DOS 3.1 or later, and also operates on any DOS-compatible network. CRIS sells for $399.95, features a free 30-day trial offer, and is available on either 5.25-inch or 3.5-inch disks.
Since 1985, Tracking Technologies has sold thousands of copies of information-tracking and customized software programs for use by organizations in the United States, Canada, England, Europe and New Zealand.
