FRIDGE FREEZERS

Hoover is recalling some fridge freezers because the defrost heating element can overheat and may catch fire.

The recall affects six Hoover fridge freezer models made between August 2011 and August 2012 with model numbers HNC6185A, HNC6185AE, HNC6185W, HNC6185WE, HNC6200A and HNC6200WE.

DISHWASHERS

The control panel on some Bosch, Neff and Siemens dishwashers can overheat and may lead to a fire. The appliances were manufactured between 1999 and 2005, and have batch numbers from FD 7901 through to FD 8504.

LAWN MOWER

Last month Tesco issued a recall on its 1000W lawn mower, left, with model number ELM032012.

hich This was due to a fault which can cause them to overheat and potentially catch fire.

AIR PURIFIER

3M is recalling a Filtrete Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier, right, because it can overheat. If you have one of the affected purifiers you should unplug it and stop using it immediately. Product number FAP00-RS-2.

ELECTRIC BLANKETS

Morphy Richards issued a product recall for some of its Over Electric Blankets, right, because they can develop a fault which can cause them to overheat and catch fire.

The models involved, sold between October 2008 and January 2010, are Single Over Electric Blanket Model 75310; Double Over Electric Blanket Model 75311; and Double Over Electric Blanket Model 75312.
