ARCO TO PRESENT ALTERNATIVE TO AQMD SMOG CREDIT TRADING PLAN
 ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 1
ARCO will present its alternative to the South Coast Air Quality Management District's controversial smog credit trading program during an AQMD workshop on Wednesday, July 1, at the Industry Hills Sheraton, 1 Industry Hills Parkway, in the City of Industry.
ARCO Products Company President George H. Babikian, an outspoken opponent of AQMD's Regional Clean Air Incentives (RECLAIM) program, will make his presentation during the open discussion period starting at 1:30 p.m.
The workshop has been scheduled to discuss key rule development for RECLAIM.
The ARCO plan includes a strategy for reducing stationary source emissions without jeopardizing the region's manufacturing base.
For your convenience, Babikian will be available for office or telephone interviews from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
To schedule an interview or for further information, contact Annie Reutinger, ARCO Public Affairs, 213-486-3181
