ARCO RECEIVES EXPORT LICENSE FOR CALIFORNIA HEAVY CRUDE OIL

DALLAS, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Arco Oil and Gas Co. (AOGC) announced today that it has received permission from the United States Department of Commerce to export up to 25,000 barrels a day of California heavy crude oil. The one-year license specifies 30 countries, primarily in the Far East, as final destinations for the crude.
AOGC is the Lower 48 oil and gas exploration and production division of Los Angeles-based ARCO.
The license allows ARCO to export both its own and other California- produced heavy crude oil as market conditions dictate.
"We're very pleased to receive this license," said Michael E. Wiley, AOCG president. "This gives ARCO and all California producers an additional option for our production."
