ARCO PIPE LINE CO. TO EXPAND CAPACITY OF TEXAS CITY-CUSHING CRUDE OIL PIPELINE

 HOUSTON, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCO Pipe Line Co. announced today it will expand its Texas City, Texas, to Cushing, Okla., pipeline system to 160,000 barrels per day of light crude oil capacity to meet the growing demand for light and heavy crude oil shipments from the Gulf Coast to the U.S. Midcontinent.
 The expansion, to be completed by the end of the year, will add approximately 40,000 barrels per day of light crude oil capacity to the system, which was last expanded in 1991 from 50,000 to 120,000 barrels per day.
 The company said that the line has been essentially filled for the last several months.
 ARCO Pipe Line Co. is a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based ARCO.
