ARCO OFFERS $25,000 REWARD IN MURDER AT LONG BEACH AM/PM MINI MARKET

 LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCO is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of a cashier at an am/pm mini market in Long Beach on Sept. 15.
 The body of the 38-year-old victim, Jose Amorin, was found shot to death at the ARCO am/pm at 1785 Bellflower Blvd. (at Atherton) at approximately 3:05 a.m. by a newspaper deliveryman. Amorin, who had been employed at am/pm for the past three years, suffered bullet wounds to the back and hand, in addition to the one close-range shot fired into his head after he had already fallen to the ground.
 Anyone with information about the crime should contact the Watch Commander (or Detectives Remine and MacLyman) of the Long Beach Police Department regarding Case No. 93-68695. The 24-hour number is: 310-570-7236.
 The reward is being offered through ARCO's Crime Deterrent Program which, since its inception in 1978, has awarded more than $2 million to individuals assisting in solving crimes committed at ARCO facilities.
