ARAMARK Selected as a Finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Corporate Citizenship Awards.

Honor Recognizes the Company's Commitment to Serving Its Communities Across the Nation

PHILADELPHIA -- ARAMARK, a world leader in providing professional services, has been named a finalist by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a Corporate Citizenship Award in the category of U.S. Community Service. The U.S. Community Service Award, now in its 10th year, acknowledges businesses, chambers, and associations for corporate citizenship programs that contribute to social and civic progress in communities across the country.

ARAMARK is being recognized for its company-wide signature community involvement program, ARAMARK Building Community, which leverages the expertise of its 260,000 employees to help local community centers meet the day-to-day needs of individuals and families. Since its inception in early 2008, ARAMARK Building Community has brought together more than 7,000 employee volunteers to refurbish community centers, educate families about good nutrition through health and wellness events, and help prepare and connect people to jobs through a number of career fairs. ARAMARK Building Community reaches more than 25 metropolitan areas across the United States.

"ARAMARK Building Community connects the expertise and passion of our people with the pressing needs of our communities, allowing them to directly impact the places where we live and work," said Frank Mendicino, ARAMARK President of Strategic Assets. "We are very proud to be recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for the extraordinary efforts of our employees."

In addition to ARAMARK Building Community, the company's Community Involvement commitment comprises a variety of programs to encourage and support employee participation in their communities, including:

* A Community Involvement Portal where employees can learn about the company's community involvement program, sign up to volunteer, and read inspiring stories.

* Acknowledgement of employees' extraordinary volunteer efforts through the ARAMARK Outstanding Volunteer Awards and a partnership with the Jefferson Awards for Public Service, which recognizes individual community service activities throughout the United States.

* Opportunities to contribute to non-profit organizations through the ARAMARK Employee Giving Program.

"ARAMARK has shown leadership and commitment at a difficult time when it has mattered most," said BCLC Vice President and Executive Director Stephen Jordan. "Each finalist for the U.S. Community Service Award is a community hero."
