ARAM NAJARIAN NAMED COO OF MARKETING DISPLAYS INTERNATIONAL

 FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Aram H. Najarian has been named chief operating officer of Marketing Displays International (MDI). The announcement was made today by Robert Sarkisian, the company's chief executive officer. MDI is an international manufacturer of promotional sinage, point-of-purchase displays and traffic control sign systems.
 Before joining MDI, Najarian held senior executive positions with Ditri and Associates, a Greenwich, Conn.-based diversified manufacturer. He was president and CEO of the corporation's operating companies, Traffic Control Technologies and Everlock Fastening Systems. Prior to his four years with Ditri, he was vice president and general manager of Rockwell International Plastics Products Businesses in Troy, Mich.
 While at Rockwell, he was the first-ever recipient of the "Quality Leader of the Year" award from the American Society of Quality Control -- Automotive Division. The award ceremony -- which was keynoted by world-renowned quality expert Dr. W. Edwards Deming -- recognized Najarian for his quality leadership contributions, including his "customer-focused vision, quality philosophy and defect prevention orientation." Under Najarian's guidance, Rockwell Plastics received numerous quality awards from customers.
 Najarian's previous company affiliations included executive positions with Cooper Tire and Rubber, ITT Corporation and Ford Motor Company.
 MDI markets internationally throughout the United States and in 14 other countries. The company has had operations in Europe for over 20 years, and recently expanded its manufacturing and marketing activities in the Pacific Rim and Latin America. MDI world headquarters are in Farmington Hills.
