AQUAFRESH(R) GIVES RACING DENTIST NEW STRIPES

 PITTSBURGH, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Ladies and gentlemen, start your brushes!
 Aquafresh toothpaste and Teledyne Water Pik announced they are going literally into high gear by sponsoring Dr. Jack Miller, the world's only professional racing dentist.
 The Aquafresh logo, with its distinctive red, white and aqua stripes, now adorns an Indy Lights racing car, which Miller drives in demanding professional races at speeds reaching more than 200 miles per hour. The racing dentist and his racing machine also serve as vehicles to promote Aquafresh and to stimulate public interest in proper dental care.
 Officials at SmithKline Beecham (NYSE: SBH), the maker of Aquafresh, and at Teledyne Water Pik, also see a strong connection between Miller's passion for racing and their mission to encourage therapeutic and preventive dental habits.
 When he's not maneuvering his delicate dental instruments inside patients' mouths, Miller likes to steer his speeding car through the turns and straightaways of the seven-month, 12-race Indy Lights circuit.
 A 1992 graduate of Indiana University's dental school, Miller finds racing and dentistry to be a natural match. "Many dental patients, especially children, experience some form of anxiety when visiting their dentist. I have found that relating my experiences in racing often puts my patients at ease."
 The 31-year-old Indianapolis native is the only dentist to be professionally licensed by FIA (the French acronym for the International Automobile Federation), auto racing's governing body. Miller finds that his dual professional career intertwines frequently, such as the time he extracted a painful tooth for a mechanic at a Vancouver race.

 The Firestone Indy Lights Championship is the "Official Development Series" of the PPG IndyCar World Series, which includes the Indianapolis 500. Each Indy Lights race is held as a preliminary race on the morning of the major IndyCar race in 12 cities throughout North America.
 Indy Lights races attract an average of 200,000 fans per event. Each race also is broadcast on ESPN to 53 million households. During the races, fans will be able to see the Aquafresh logo and stripes on Miller's Aquafresh-green car, as well as his racing uniform, the Miller Racing Systems team uniforms, the hospitality area in the pits and the team's tractor trailer.
 Miller, whose ambition is to compete in the IndyCar series and most importantly, the Indianapolis 500, has won many races and awards on his way to joining the Indy Lights circuit this year. The careful approach and meticulous preparation he uses in dentistry have served him well in racing -- he has finished all but one of the races he started.
