APRIL NIRI MEETING: 'EXECUTIVE PAY: WHO DECIDES HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH?'
SEATTLE, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI):
SPEAKER: Eric Marquardt, Principal, The Wyatt Co.
 WHAT: National Investor Relations Institute
 Seattle Chapter Luncheon
 WHEN: Tuesday, April 14, noon
WHERE: Rainier Club, Fourth and Columbia, Seattle
 RSVP: PR Newswire, 206-624-2414
Executive pay decisions traditionally had few regulations other than prudence and common sense. Shareholders and the general public are increasingly concerned about the growing list of multimillion- dollar pay packages for chief executives. Eric Marquardt, an executive compensation specialist with The Wyatt Co., will discuss the current efforts by government and shareholders to control executive pay. He will look at how much is too much and reasonable standards to determine the same.
Marquardt is in charge of The Wyatt Co.'s Seattle Compensation Consulting Practice. He has more than 17 years experience in compensation management, both as a consultant and as a functional manager. Prior to joining The Wyatt Co., Marquardt was a senior executive compensation consultant with a Big Eight accounting firm, heading their consulting practice. The practice included start-up companies, those making initial public offerings and companies of varied sizes, including Fortune 500 companies.
The cost for the luncheon is $19.50 for members and $24.50 for nonmembers. Reservations may be cancelled up to 3 p.m. on the day prior to the meeting. No-shows will be billed.
