 APPSOFT LICENSES POWERSTEP FROM BORLAND
 REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Appsoft Inc. announced


today that it had concluded an agreement with Borland International to acquire certain rights to PowerStep, a spreadsheet created by Ashton-Tate to run on NeXT computers. PowerStep was acquired by Borland as part of its acquisitions of Ashton-Tate in February. Appsoft plans to complete development of the product and release it in the fourth quarter of 1992. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 Appsoft Inc., privately held, is the premier publisher of productivity software for the NeXT platform and 486 machines running the NeXTSTEP operating system.
