 APPLE USA EXPANDS MACINTOSH RIGHT NOW REBATE
 CUPERTINO, Calif., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Apple USA division


of Apple Computer Inc. has announced enhancements to the Macintosh Right Now Rebate promotion including a 30-day extension of the promotion and additional product configurations.
 The Right Now Rebate program has been extended to Feb. 2, 1992, and consumers and business owners will receive Right Now rebates for single-unit purchases of the Apple Macintosh IIsi and the Apple Macintosh IIci personal computer. Customers who purchase a Macintosh IIsi (3/40) will receive a Right Now rebate of $500 and customers purchasing a Macintosh IIsi (5/80) or any Macintosh IIci computer will receive a $650 rebate. All other rebate offers included in the original promotion will remain effective through the end of the promotion.
 Apple is also offering an in-store Apple Credit of up to $650 to customers who previously purchased qualifying computers between Sept. 1, 1991, and Dec. 5, 1991. This credit can be used to purchase Apple product and/or Macintosh-compatible software from the issuing reseller.
 "The Right Now Rebate has been one the most popular promotions in Apple's history," said Mike Dionne, senior vice president of sales, Apple USA. "Based on that success, we have extended the promotion and included additional rebates or in-store Apple Credits as our way of saying 'thank you' to customers and to provide them with even greater value when purchasing Apple products."
 Enhancements to the Right Now Rebate include:
 -- Buy a Macintosh IIsi (3/40) and receive a $500 Right Now
 Rebate.
 -- Buy a Macintosh IIsi (5/80) or any Macintosh IIci and receive a
 $650 Right Now Rebate.
 -- Buy a Macintosh Classic II computer with the Apple Credit Card
 and pay no finance charges for the first six months. This offer
 began Nov. 27, 1991.
 -- Buy a Macintosh Classic II computer and the Apple StyleWriter
 printer using the Apple Credit Card and receive a $150 credit
 on the Apple Credit Card account. The 0 percent finance offer
 for the first 180 days will also apply.(i)
 Apple has also tailored the enhancements to the Right Now Rebate promotion to meet the needs of education customers. They may now have the opportunity to take advantage of additional savings on individual purchases of Apple Macintosh IIsi and Macintosh IIci computers.

 (i)Finance charges will accrue at a rate of up to 20.4 percent Annual percentage rate with up to a $.50 minimum finance charge. Offer is subject to credit approval by the Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia.
