 APPLE NAMES NEW TREASURER
CUPERTINO, Calif., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Apple Computer Inc.

(NASDAQ: AAPL) today announced that it has named Mary Ann Cusenza as corporate treasurer. Cusenza replaces Robert Saltmarsh, who was named as vice president of finance for Apple's Personal Interactive Electronics division.
In her new role, Cusenza, 35, is responsible for managing a broad range of external relationships, including Apple's worldwide financial markets and banking activities, insurance risk, corporate finance analysis, and investor relations.
"Mary Ann is a seasoned contributor to Apples Finance organization," said Joseph A. Graziano, Apple's chief financial officer. "Her solid financial background is perfectly suited to the challenges Apple faces as it pursues its goal to be a major player in the computer industry."
Cusenza joined Apple in 1985 as European treasury manager in Paris. Over the past seven years, she has served in the Treasury department as assistant treasurer and European treasury manager, where she managed all foreign exchange, portfolio investment, banking and borrowing activities.
Most recently, Cusenza was director of investor relations overseeing Apple's external communications with shareholders and the equity markets. Prior to joining Apple, Cusenza spent three and a half years at Syntex Corp. in various financial positions, including foreign exchange manager and cash investment manager.
Cusenza holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Santa Clara; a master's in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley; and certification from the International Executive Management program at INSEAD in Fountainbleu, France.
