APP, Saudi Urdu News Service agree on news exchange programme.

ISLAMABAD, March 24, 2010 (Balochistan Times): Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and prominent Saudi Urdu daily (Urdu News) agreed to enter into news exchange programme for projecting news reports that would further boost Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, both government and the people-to-people levels. A proposal to this effect was agreed by Tarek A. Miskhas, Executive Editor of the Daily during his visit to APP Headquarters here Wednesday. Mr. Miskhas was conferred Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam in journalism and communication by President Asif Ali Zardari here Tuesday at a special ceremony. Director Coordination Ilyas Chaudhry briefed him on the working of the countrys premier news agency and discussed proposals for bilateral cooperation between the two media outlets. Mr. Tarek said that the daily, only one in Urdu language in Saudi Arabia, was updating thousands of overseas Pakistani about the countrys important news.
