APCOA UNIT PRESIDENT STEPHEN T. KIPP DIES

CINCINNATI, Dec. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen T. Kipp, a parking industry leader known throughout Ohio, was found dead late Wednesday (Dec. 23) after apparently suffering a heart attack while exercising his bird dogs near his Cincinnati residence.
Kipp, 52, was president of Airport Properties Great Lakes for APCOA, Inc., a Cleveland-based firm. Kipp's territory included airports throughout the Midwest.
He was a director of the Ohio State Parking Association and a former director of the National Parking Association.
Kipp was an avid hunter of quail and pheasant, and was widely known for the quality of the bird dogs he trained.
He spent his adult life with APCOA, starting as a parking attendant at Los Angeles International Airport. He held succeeding managerial and executive positions throughout the west and southwest. On being named director of APCOA's operations, he was assigned to APCOA's headquarters office in Cleveland, and he and his family resided in Medina, Ohio.
When the company reorganized its operations department, he was made vice president based in Dallas. He subsequently relocated to Cincinnati on assuming his present position.
Kipp is survived by his wife, JoAnne; a son, Stephen, Jr.; and a daughter, Gretchen; all of Cincinnati.
 Services are being arranged.
