AOAD organizes training session on strategic planning and decision support systems.

Khartoum, April 12c (SUNA) - The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) organized Sunday in Khartoum a 5-day Country Training Session in the field of strategic planning and decision support systems, at a wide participation of a number of the Ministries of agriculture in the Arab states.

The opening session was addressed by the AOAD's Director General Tariq al-Zadjali, stressing that the training session came within the framework of AOAD programme on agricultural and fishing training.

He pointed out to the importance of the human resources development, capacity building and development of skills in strategic planning, referring to the need to disseminate awareness on the importance of information technology and its role in decision through training on decision support systems and future study methodologies while benefiting from Arab experts.

The training session is to touch on strategic planning and its levels, the role of decision support systems in strategic planning and the strategic plan. It will also tackle the concept of environmental analysis and its tools and the systemic thinking, as well as decision support, its types, significance, characteristics and its steps systems. Besides decision support systems in the field of agriculture, irrigation and agricultural investment.
