ANY WIN WILL DO ME; LEAGUE ONE FORFAR v BRECHIN.

DICK CAMPBELL would love to start 2015 the same way as last year - with an Angus derby thumping of Brechin.

But the Station Park boss reckons this League One firstfooting will be a lot tighter than that 5-1 scoreline.

Campbell said: "I've been involved in a lot of these games on both sides and they're usually tightly-contested affairs.

"Winning 5-1 was a great start to last year but I'm not expecting anything other than a close game this time out. This is an important game in the season with the two sides in good form.

"Both will be refreshed after getting last Saturday off so it should be a cracking game. I will settle for 1-0 to us."

Brechin boss Ray McKinnon is looking for big performance from a player who has recently arrived and one who is leaving to help his side stay on the fringes of the play-off chase.

On-loan Dundee striker Craig Wighton is in line for a first start while Jamie Masson is returning to his parent club Aberdeen next week.

McKinnon said: "Craig is the type of boy who will revel in a derby atmosphere so I'm tempted to start him, especially as he's looked good in training."

"Jamie has done well and it would be great if he signed off with another big performance."
