ANTHY EVERGATES-PRICE PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF MEDIA AND CO-OP ADVERTISING FOR UNIVERSAL PICTURES

 UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthy Evergates-


Price has been promoted to vice president of media and co-op advertising for Universal Pictures, effective immediately, it was announced today (March 8) by Simon Kornblit, executive vice president of worldwide marketing.
 In her new position, Evergates-Price will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall media planning and buying strategies for Universal's motion picture slate and for overseeing all cooperative advertising operations. She will report directly to Kornblit.
 Evergates-Price joined Universal in 1985 as media manager and was promoted to media director in 1986. During her tenure at Universal, she has worked on the campaigns for such films as the "Back to the Future" trilogy, "Out of Africa," "Do the Right Thing," "Twins," "Kindergarten Cop," "Field of Dreams," "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Scent of a Woman." Prior to joining Universal, she was with Doyle Dane Bernback (now DDB/Needham Worldwide) where she was involved in the advertising campaign for Universal's "E.T., the Extra- Terrestrial."
 Phil Shaps, most recently co-op manager, has been promoted to director of co-op advertising. Shaps joined Universal in 1980 and was responsible for developing the co-op department's computerized budgeting system.
 Brenda Scarbrough has been promoted to director of media, having joined Universal in 1988 as co-op manager. Previously, she worked at the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency.
