 ANTHONY J. LYNN NAMED PRESIDENT, PLAYBOY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP
 CHICAGO, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthony J. Lynn, president of international television distribution and worldwide pay television for MGM-Pathe Communications, Co., has been appointed president of Playboy Entertainment Group and elected executive vice president of Playboy Enterprises, Inc. He will report to Christie Hefner, chairman and chief executive officer of Playboy Enterprises, and will have overall responsibility for leading the continued expansion of the development, production and distribution of Playboy's entertainment programming for worldwide television and home video markets.
 In making the announcement, Hefner said, "Tony's strategic marketing skills and range of experience are uniquely well suited to Playboy's mix of entertainment businesses. His knowledge of international television will be invaluable as we continue to take advantage of the opportunities that the developing overseas market offers. Tony also has assembled the types of joint programming ventures that will account for an increasing share of Playboy's production activities. In addition, with his experience in cable television, Tony will help us expand our pay-per- view cable operations, one of the fastest-growing segments of our business."
 The company is a leader in the pay-per-view cable business, and, through Playboy Home Video, has the third largest-selling brand of nontheatrical videos in the nation. Playboy programming and videotapes also appear in 16 countries overseas.

 Lynn, 39, will lead an existing Entertainment Group management team headed by Dick Sowa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Playboy Entertainment Group and president of distribution, and Dick Rosetti, president of production.  At MGM-Pathe, Lynn was responsible for all international free and pay television sales, coproduction activities, domestic pay television and network and basic cable sales. Prior to joining MGM-Pathe in 1987, Lynn served as president-cable, pay TV and home video for Coca-Cola Telecommunications since 1986. Previously, he had spent six years with Columbia Pictures Corp., initially as vice president-pay television, rising to senior vice president-pay television and nontheatrical distribution and, eventually, senior vice president-marketing for Columbia Pictures International. He began his career with Teleprompter Cable TV in 1975, joining Home Box Office in 1977 as director of programming.
 A graduate of Duke University, Lynn holds a M.S. in television/radio from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
