 Users can then select from a comprehensive array of powerful financial tools, including asset allocation for determining investment mix, a sophisticated portfolio manager for keeping track of investments and charting capabilities for graphically comparing investments.
 SmartInvestor goes beyond other financial software products by offering users customized investment advice. Based on a user's personal financial profile and their asset allocation, SmartInvestor provides suggestions on specific mutual funds that meet their financial criteria. In addition, users can talk to SmartInvestor -- savvy professional financial advisors via electronic mail for advice and opinions. Users also have access to over 500 pages of built-in financial tutorials written with editors of Money Magazine.
 The OnLine Connection: SmartInvestors' Partners
 Immediate access to the latest information is a critical component for successful investing. Instead of continually calling brokers for the most updated information, SmartInvestor provides users with complete data on more than 1,500 mutual funds and over 10,000 stocks and bonds from the NYSE, AMEX and OTC exchanges, as well as thousands of money markets and Certificates of Deposits (CDs).
 SmartInvestor is being launched with highly respected organizations in the financial community.  Buy/Sell Alerts
 SmartInvestor monitors the ever-changing financial world. SmartInvestor's buy/sell alerts alert investors to critical changes so they can identify potential investment opportunities well in advance of pivotal events. Every time users sign on, SmartInvestor alerts them to changes or critical news about investments they are following, so they can act immediately. SmartInvestor includes over 700 preset alerts and users can also create their own.
 OnLine Trading
 SmartInvestor allows users to buy and sell stocks, bonds, CDs, money markets and mutual funds or receive account updates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Users can execute transactions online using a selection of discount stock brokerages including PCFN, a service of the Pershing Division of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Corp., and Quick & Reilly. Trades done through online brokers are posted automatically and verification of the transaction is mailed.
 Tour de Wealth Challenge
 SmartInvestor includes the Tour de Wealth Challenge, a game letting users manage a fictional brokerage account. They have 90 days to execute their strategy; winners are determined by the value of their portfolio. Winners have an opportunity to win over $25,000 in cash and prizes.
 System Requirements
 SmartInvestor for IBM PC (286 or higher recommended) or other 100 percent compatible personal computers requires 640K of RAM, DOS 3.1 or higher, hard drive, and 1200, 2400 or 9600 baud Hayes-compatible modem. CGA, EGA, VGA or Tandy graphics board is required. A mouse is optional.
 Price and Availability
 SmartInvestor has a suggested retail price of $99.95. There is a $9.95 flat monthly unlimited usage fee for the basic service(A). The first month is free. SmartInvestor will begin shipping April 1, and will be available through all major retail stores and direct through most Time Warner publications.
