Robert and Corinne Palmer of Eugene will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. The couple were married April 16, 1963, in Nevada.

Their children and their spouses are Laura and Gulam Faruq of Cottage Grove, Clark and JoAnne Palmer of Eugene, Roberta and Gary Kellis of Eugene, and Paula and Gary Hunt of Eugene. The couple have six grandchildren.

He worked for 39 years as an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers electrician, from 1957 to 1969 in California and from 1969 to 1996 in Oregon. He retired from L.H. Morris Electric.

She retired from managing the couple's Oregon rental properties.

Both are former charter members of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Eugene and are longtime members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene. They are past members of the Eugene Elks Lodge and Wagon Wheelers square dance club, and also have been members of a local vintage automobile club and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
