ANNISU-R disrupts HSEB examination.

KATHMANDU, April 29 -- Agitating activists of the All Nepal National Independent Students' Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), the student wing of UCPN (Maoist) disrupted the examination of grade XII, conducted by the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) at some centers in the capital and outside the valley on Wednesday.

The ANNISU-R cadres entered the examination centers and made public the question papers soon after the commencement of exams this morning.

However, the HSEB has said that the examination has not been postponed despite obstruction.

According to the HSEB, examination centers including Shanti Bidhya Mandir of Lainchour, Manmohan Memorial College of Sorhakhutte, Peoples Campus and Yubak Higher Secondary School became tense this morning.

Likewise, the ANNISU-R has also obstructed the examinations at Saptagandaki, Bal Kumari, Kanya Higher Secondary School in Chitwan.

The agitators even assaulted some four examinees at Bal Kendra center.

The ANNISU-R had pressurised the HSEB to postpone the grade XII examinations citing the Maoist called general strike.

Some 760,000 students are taking the HSEB exam this year.
