 ANGOLAN OFFSHORE PROJECT AWARDED TO ABB UNIT
 STAMFORD, Conn., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- A contract for the turnkey


supply and installation of two platforms in the Cabinda field offshore Angola have been awarded to a unit of Asea Brown Boveri Inc., the company reported today.
 ABB Lummus Crest, Bloomfield, N.J., will be prime contractor supplying the basic and detailed engineering, procurement services, production equipment, commodities and related materials, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning. Terms of the award were not disclosed.
 Scheduled for completion in mid-1994, the installation will be 40 miles offshore, in depths of approximately 100 meters. The production platforms will extract and separate oil, with a combined production of 85,000 barrels-per-day of oil and 126,000 cubic-feet-per-day of gas. Associated pipelines will deliver the product to onshore facilities.
 The project is a venture comprised of four participants: Cabinda Gulf Oil Company (a Chevron affiliate); AGIP Angola Ltd.; Elf Aquitaine Angola and Sociedade Nacional de Combustiveis de Angola (the National Oil Company of Angola).
 ABB Lummus Crest is an international engineering and construction company.
