ANGLERS TO CATCH FIANNA FAIL RALLY.
THOUSANDS of furious anglers will hold a massive rally at the Fianna Fail Ard Fheis tomorrow in a desperate bid to save the wild Irish salmon from extinction.
Fishermen from all over Europe will hold a huge demonstration when the party gathers for its annual meeting in Killarney, Co Kerry.
The protest, which is being backed by the Irish Daily Mirror's Save Our Salmon campaign, will be the biggest ever gathering of anglers.
And they have warned the party that salmon could become an election issue. Chairman of the Stop Now group Niall Greene said it would be a huge rally.
He added: "Anglers are coming from all over Ireland and it will be the biggest gathering here ever.
"We will be joined by tourist interests, conservationists and concerned members of the public at our rally outside the Fianna Fail Ard Fheis tomorrow.
"There will also be conservationists and campaigners from England, Wales, Iceland, France and Switzerland."
