ANF conducted 4 operations, recovered drugs worth Rs 300m.
Peshawar -- ANF conducted 4 operations at Faisalbad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and recovered drugs worth Rs 300 million in international market. During operations 5 persons were arrested and 1 vehicle detained.
According to details, ANF Lahore Road Check Team on information intercepted a vehicle near Faisalabad Motorway Interchange and recovered 45 Kg of Fine quality Heroin from a car Toyota Corolla register no AVU-964. Heroin was packed in 45 packets of 1 Kg each and was concealed in different cavities of dash board, bumper, doors and fuel tank. 3 persons were also arrested namely Abdul Qadus S/O Fiday Dost Muhammad r/o Quetta, Najeeb Ullah S/O Abdul Qayyum r/o Quetta and Fiaz Ahmed S/O Muhammad Rafique r/o Lahore. According to initial investigations, the gang has been involved in drug smuggling in the past as well.
They used to get drugs from Peshawar and provide it in different cities. This time they started from Karkhano Bazar, Peshawar and distributed Heroin at Nowshera, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and intended further supply drugs at Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur and Quetta. 2 weeks earlier this gang travelled from Peshawar to Quetta via Mianwali.
ANF Lahore while checking the consignment of Sky-net Courier Company, recovered 1600 Gms of brown Heroin concealed in cavity of 1 out of 24 Cricket Bats. The consignment was booked from Sialkot and was destined for UK. 1 person namely Haji Qaiser has been arrested. ANF Rawalpindi on information carried out operation at Gilgit and arrested Saif Ur Rehman S/O Samundar Khan r/o Tehsil Pattan, Kohistan, while recovering 3 Kgs Chars from his personal possession. He was arrested near District Police Line office, Gilgit.
ANF Peshawar Airport Team arrested Murad Ullah S/O Karim Ullah r/o District Charsadda at recovered 1.1 Kg fine quality heroin concealed in his bag. He was to travel by Shaheen Airlines, Flight no NL-721 from Peshawar to Jaddah. Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process.
