ANA to reduce international cargo fuel surcharges.
Japanese carrier ANA announced on Monday that it has applied to the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) to revise its international cargo fuel surcharges from 1 September 2009.
Long-haul international cargo fuel surcharges will be decreased from JPY63 to JPY 57 per kg, medium-haul international cargo fuel surcharges will decrease from JPY47 to JPY42 per kg and short-haul international cargo fuel surcharges will be decreased from JPY44 to JPY39.
ANA's cargo fuel surcharge is fixed for one month and revised on the basis of the average price of jet fuel for the month that precedes the announcement of the next revision. In July, the average price of jet fuel was USD72.51.
