AMWAY DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO INTERNATIONAL AID HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT
SPRING LAKE, Mich., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- International Aid, a nondenominational Christian agency, received a contribution of over $220,000 worth of food items from Amway Corp. The supplies are desperately needed in the ongoing Hurricane Andrew relief efforts in Florida and Louisiana.
International Aid received four truckloads of cereals, soy nuts and toaster pastries from Amway, less than two weeks after the Ada-based company's initial contribution of cleaning products valued at $1.3 million. Amway's total contribution to the hurricane relief efforts now totals more than $1.5 million.
Ten truckloads of L.O.C. (Liquid Organic Cleanser), SA8 Laundry Concentrate and Dish Drops Concentrated Dishwashing Liquid have already been shipped to Florida and Louisiana, where independent Amway distributors assisted with the distribution efforts. Amway's food donation will be included with other products donated by West Michigan companies and individuals in a shipment to devastated areas.
International Aid continues to seek donations of canned foods, ready-made baby formula, disposable diapers and linens, as well as monetary contributions to support relief efforts.
The mission of International Aid is to provide food, health, and hope to the destitute of America and the world, regardless of nationality or belief. International Aid is committed to its world relief and development focus, granting assistance to over 150 countries on five continents.
