For the five-month period ended May 31, 1993, the company's sales increased 50 percent to $5,914,539, compared to $3,953,875 for the five-month period ended May 31, 1992. At the annual meeting, Mark Crossen, president, attributed the company's outstanding sales growth to a considerably expanded high- quality product line, superior customer service policies and to the success of its increasingly sophisticated direct marketing techniques. In addition, he credited a growing national demand for natural products, especially in the nutritional supplement direct marketing segment.
Crossen also announced that Amrion Inc. has applied for inclusion of its securities on the NASDAQ SmallCap Stock Market, and that he believes the company meets all of NASDAQ's listing criteria. However, the company has not yet received approval from NASDAQ and is not sure when it may expect such approval.
Amrion Inc. markets nutritional supplements and other consumer health products using direct marketing methods and principals. Its common stock is traded over the counter under the Bulletin Board symbol: AMRI.
