AMR INVESTMENT SERVICES INTRODUCES MONEY MARKET FUND WITH
                  AMERICAN AIRLINES AADVANTAGE MILES
DALLAS, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AMR Investment Services, Inc., announced today that it has opened its top-performing money market fund to individual investors, and added a twist: American Airlines AAdvantage miles.
"Mileage Class" is a new class of shares of the American AAdvantage Money Market Fund. The American AAdvantage Money Market Fund has been a consistent top performer since its inception in September 1987, according to IBC/Donoghue's Monthly Money Fund Report.
Previously, the Money Market Fund had been available only to institutional investors. The new Mileage Class shares are designed exclusively for individual investors who make an initial investment of at least $10,000.
"Now individuals can enjoy the same caliber of investment skill and management as large investors," stated William F. Quinn, president of AMR investment Services and of the American AAdvantage Funds.
Shareholders of the Mileage Class will receive American Airlines AAdvantage travel awards program miles. Miles are posted monthly at an annual rate of one mile for every $10 of an individual's average daily balance. "It's a great opportunity for investors to earn competitive returns while building AAdvantage miles," Quinn said.
The AAdvantage program, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, is the oldest and largest frequent flyer program in the world. More than 15 million people are AAdvantage members.
"We're very pleased to welcome our newest partner to the AAdvantage program," said Michael W. Gunn, senior vice president, marketing. "Mileage Class is another example of the innovation which has made the AAdvantage program the most successful travel awards program in the world."
AMR Investment Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR), parent company of American Airlines, Inc.
Prospective investors are encouraged to call 1-800-MILES92 for a free prospectus. The prospectus should be read carefully before investing.
Past performance is not indicative of future returns. Mileage Class yields will be lower than the Institutional Class. This is not an offer of the Institutional Class.
Shares of the Mileage Class are neither insured nor guaranteed by the U.S. Government and there can be no assurance that a stable $1.00 net asset value per share will be maintained. The Mileage Class is not available in all states or to all investors. AMR Investment Services reserves the right to discontinue its participation in the AAdvantage Program.
American Airlines and AAdvantage are registered trademarks of American Airlines, Inc. American Airlines may find it necessary to change AAdvantage program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers at any time, impacting, for example, rules for earning mileage and blackout dates and limited seating for travel awards. American reserves the right to end the AAdvantage program with six months notice. American Airlines is not responsible for investments made in the Mileage Class.
