AMORPHIUM SOFTWARE ENABLES CONSUMERS TO CREATE 3D GRAPHICS.

Play Incorporated, creator of Snappy Video Snapshot and Gizmos98 products, has unveiled a real-time 3D sculpting and painting tool for PC and Macintosh computers. This new software, Amorphium, brings 3D graphics creation to a whole new audience by allowing users to create 3D models in real- time as easily as sculpting clay. Amorphium's breakthrough approach eliminates the slow and difficult wireframe editing associated with existing 3D systems.

Priced at $149.95, Amorphium enables consumers to create custom 3D graphics for web sites, desktop publishing, school projects and personal creation. Experienced Adobe Photoshop users and 3D graphics professionals can also use Amorphium's unique sculpting tools to easily create models, that would be impossible or difficult to create using traditional programs.

"We wanted to open the door for consumers who have never used 3D and bring a unique tool to established 3D professionals," explains Mark Randall, vice president of creative development. "Creating shapes in Amorphium is as easy as sculpting with clay, letting users push, pull, twist, morph, stretch and bend shapes easily and interactively. This new approach makes 3D creation easy enough for school kids, yet powerful enough for professional animators." Since it was first unveiled, Amorphium has garnered a great deal of attention for its breakthrough technology, including winning both Best of Comdex and Best of Macworld awards. Amorphium is available now for Windows PCs and Macintosh computers for a suggested retail price of $149.95. Play Incorporated is a privately held corporation, founded in 1994 by computer and video industry pioneers with the goal of bringing high-end video and graphics capabilities to personal computers.
