 WASHINGTON, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Statement of Kevin W. Sharer, President and Chief Operating Officer, Amgen Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: AMGN):
 "We at Amgen are fortunate to report that earthquake damage to our Thousand Oaks, California facility is very minor and this damage is confined to non-essential buildings.
