AMEX TO OPEN OPTIONS TRADING ON PLAYERS INTERNATIONAL, INC.
NEW YORK, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange today announced that it will open put and call options trading on the over-the-counter stock of Players International, Inc. (stock/options symbol: PLAY/PQL) on Monday, July 12, 1993. Through its subsidiaries, Players International markets a variety of products and services to the gaming industry. Based in Calabasas, Calif., the company operates Players Club International, which provides discounts to members on food, lodging and entertainment at resort hotels. The company also sponsors gaming tournaments, operates a travel agency, owns a 100 percent interest in a corporation that operates casinos on cruise ships, and holds an exclusive license to produce Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune telephone games in the U.S. and other countries. PQL will open with strike prices of 17 1/2, 20 and 22 1/2, and position limits of 5,500 contracts. Initial expiration months will be August, September and October of 1993 and January of 1994. AGS Specialist Partners will be the specialist unit for the new options. The Amex trades a total of 332 stock options, including 89 options on over-the-counter stocks, as well as 43 LEAPS(tm) (Long-term Equity AnticiPation Securities).
